after an hour one of the kids "died"
Published on May 29, 2004 By Nebraskawoman In Home & Family
Hi y'all!
The kids had a scrimmage today. They had fun right up to the third inning. then they started to get bored. They did well though. Some of us parents talked the coaches into calling it good for the day when one of the boys "died" in the infield. It was cute. He was standing there then he dropped backwards and just laid there on the ground. Our coach asked him what he was doing and he told her that he "died". It was cute. She asked him if he could wait until after the game to die and he smiled. He laid there for the last batter then a bunch of us parents asked the coaches if we could end it. The kids had played really well for an hour and were starting to get bored. So they lined up and shook hands. They did well considering it was the first time most of them had played. My daughter told me she had fun but it was getting boring at the end.

Well, I'm going to cut this short. My daughter wants me to color with her and then we are off to pick up our new car. Only problem is it's a stick and I'm not good with a clutch. *Shrug* Oh, well. It will be fun trying to get used to it. hahaha.

Take care and I'll talk to you all later.

I tried Tball with my 3yr old and it was a practice in futility and pain   Glad you had fun.  My 7yr old is in his first year of coach pitch.  They are totally adorable and love it.  You were smart to call it good when they got bored.  It should be about having fun.

I'd rather her lose and have fun than win and not have any fun. I can't stand watching people who push their kids into doing stuff that the kids really don't want to be doing or don't have fun doing. Hope that makes sense. hahaha

This is my daughters second and last year for Tball. Last year they were in a tournament and one of the kids ran from 1st plate to the pitchers mound. It was cute because it took a minute for the coaches to notice and the kids were all standing there not knowing what to do. Saturday is her first game. I can't wait. It should be alot of fun.I'm glad your kids are loving it so much.
