Just the everyday thoughts and observations from a nebraska woman.
Just curious
Published on February 23, 2005 By Nebraskawoman In Misc
I have been looking through different posts and was just wondering where everyone was from.
As you can tell from my name on here I'm from Nebraska. If you dont want to say the state just holler out what country you are from. I'm curious to see how many different cultures we have on here.
So here's one for the US. Where are you from if I may ask?

well, from the name, you could assume that I have no home.  I currently reside in Tenn, though.  At heart, I'm a Texas girl.

dynamaso: you get alot of cold weather in Australia? Have fun in the tropics.

Some places get quite cold, Australia does get snow in places. Personally I live in one of the warmer states - I've never seen snow. But what I would deem cold other may call Summer simply because of what we're used to. I've had friends from Tassie who will wear shorts and short sleeves while I'll be in two pairs of track pants and a couple jumpers. (sweaters?)
We're pretty close to Antartica you know

TW: My older brother was stationed in Pearl Harbor when he was in the navy. He loved living there.
Trina_p: I would love to go down there. I'd be the tourist in the shorts and tank top. We get quite a bit of snow here. It has dropped down as far as -20 degrees here in the winter before.
Island-gurl: It's gorgeous. How can we not be envious?

I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba. It's near the center of Canada, north of the North Dakota-Minnesota border. And winters suck. I remember one day where we got like 6 inches of snow, which usually isn't bad, except it was May 11!

Wow, we put most people to sleep with our fields and very few hills.

What are these "hills" you speak of?

I'm from Northern Ireland, where I lived all my life until I moved to London just over a year ago. Visited the States extensively (business trips to both coasts and the Mid-West, then a fabulous road trip last summer, took in Dallas to San Fran).

London's great, the ups outweigh the downs.
